Police say a Dodge Charger was eastbound on Westheimer at Kirkwood around 12:15am Sunday when the driver ran a red light at 50mph.
The Charger slammed into an sports utility vehicle, which rolled and came to rest upside-down.
Authorities rescued the woman from the overturned SUV. Two other people were also taken to the hospital in serious but stable condition.
Police do not believe alcohol was involved in the wreck.
