Incumbent Pat Lykos is running for re-election. On Wednesday, we introduced you to her Republican challenger, former judge Mike Anderson.
Now, one of the Democrats in the race - Zack Fertitta, a former prosecutor turned defense attorney, is running. Fertitta will push for a crime lab, new technology, and he says, set a new tone.
"I believe there needs to be a clean break with the past with the DA's office, and our criminal justice system as a whole. I think we need young leadership," Fertitta said. "The majority of attorneys in that office are young. They need somebody who's walked in their shoes."
Lykos defends her tenure saying crime rates are down and she looks forward to the campaign.
