Deputies were called to the Methodist Hospital -- Sugar Land at about 11:40pm to interview a male victim who had been shot in the leg.
The victim told detectives he was playing basketball in Community Park, commonly known as Mustang Park, located at 4521 FM 521. He noticed a black-colored vehicle drive up at about 11pm. He said he heard a gunshot and then felt pain in his left leg and realized he had been shot.
He said his friends drove him to his home and family members took him to the emergency room at Methodist Hospital where he was treated. He had no further description of the vehicle or the person who shot him.
