Richard Carroll, 44, is charged with aggravated assault against a public servant and evading. He's being held without bond.
Carroll is also a registered sex offender.
You watched it live on Eyewitness News Tuesday after Carroll broke into a woman's apartment to hide from police. Fortunately she wasn't there at the time as she had just left to check her mailbox. Officers eventually went in and arrested Carroll.
