It happened on Interstate 45 South at Broad in southeast Houston just before 11am.
According to officials at the scene, the officer somehow lost control. He went one way and the bike went another.
The officer was transported to Memorial Herman Hospital with a broken collar bone. No one else was involved in the crash.
