The shooting happened in the courtyard of an apartment complex on West 34th St. at Vollmer Rd.
The victim's uncle told us his nephew was in the apartment playing video games with a friend. He went outside and there was a confrontation with someone in the courtyard, the relative said.
The victim was shot and died at the scene. No other details were immediately available.
