Houston police were called to the 7000 block of Scott St. near Southlawn St. around 3am Saturday for a possible pedestrian accident.
They soon discovered that the victim was suffering from a gunshot wound.
Investigators found one shell casing near where the victim was lying in the southbound lanes of Scott.
The man was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he died.
No witnesses were at the scene and there are no suspects.
