Prosecutors say 25-year-old James Allen Roach of Daisetta pleaded guilty Tuesday in Beaumont to attempting to provide a federal inmate with a prohibited object.
Investigators say Roach was a correctional officer in Liberty County when he was arrested in February for attempting to deliver contraband to a federal inmate, in exchange for money.
No sentencing date has been set. The name of the inmate hasn't been released.
