Sugar Land police say a local computer repair shop contacted them after possible child pornography was located on a customer's computer. Detectives obtained a search warrant and they say a forensic examination of the computer confirmed the child pornography files.
Samuel McCord Sullivan, 66, was arrested on Oct. 6 and charged with one count of possession of child pornography. Sullivan, a self-employed certified public accountant, was transported to the Fort Bend County Jail on a $60,000 bond.
In an unrelated case, an undercover Sugar Land Police Department cyber investigation led to the identification of another Sugar Land man using an online file-sharing program for child pornography. Police say a search warrant for his house was obtained, and images of child pornography were located on his computer.
Richard S. Landrum, 68, a retired geologist, was arrested on Oct. 5 and charged with possession of child pornography.
Sugar Land police say a forensic examination will be completed on Landrum's computer, and additional charges are expected. Landrum was taken to the Fort Bend County Jail on a $60,000 bond.
