It happened Monday afternoon at Sampson and Southmore in southeast Houston. Police say a witness says a woman driving a red Mustang was turning left when the officer raced down the street and hit the back of her car in the intersection. The witness says the cruiser did not have its emergency lights on.
The officer and the Mustang driver went to the hospital with minor injuries.
