The incident happened at Westheimer and Briargreen shortly after 10am Wednesday. Houston police say a Toyota Tundra was turning from Briargreen onto Westheimer on a green light when the truck struck an elderly woman on a motorized scooter.
The woman was transported via LifeFlight to Memorial Hermann Hospital. HPD originally had pronounced the woman dead, but she is currently in critical condition. Her name has not been released.
The driver of the Tundra wasn't ticketed.
