The fire broke out at a home on Ennis near Barbee, across the street from Texas Southern University. Firefighters say one unit of the duplex burned. The fire apparently started under the house and started burning one of the walls.
Everyone got out safely and there were no injuries. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
