Parnell was asked about Perry's candidacy and how the Republican field for the 2012 race was shaping up during a news conference Wednesday. Parnell noted that he can't blend campaign politics and state business but did say Perry brings a lot to the race.
Parnell said he has worked with Perry on resource development issues, and that the fellow Republican understands the need for energy development.
