Telford McDaniel, 37, is charged with kidnapping. Court documents show that the victim told police she had been in an on-again, off-again relationship with McDaniel for three years. She says on August 10, McDaniel came to her workplace in southwest Houston and forced her into his vehicle by grabbing her head.
The victim told police that against her will, McDaniel drove her to the area around Beechnut and Highway 59 and told her to jump out of the car. According to court documents, the woman says McDaniel then tried to run over her with his vehicle.
McDaniel has two prior convictions -- one for forgery in 1999 and one for possession of a controlled substance in 2007.
No bond has been set in this case.
