Man, toddler rescued after minivan crash

HOUSTON

Police say the man was headed south on Dairy Ashford when he lost control of his minivan and slammed into a metal pole at Bellaire. Crews had to use the jaws of life to get him out of the van. He was taken to the hospital in serious condition.

A three-year -old girl was with him. She was not seriously hurt but was taken to the hospital as a precaution.
