A federal judge March 30 declared a mistrial after jurors deadlocked on charges of conspiracy, accepting a bribe and filing false income tax returns in 2003 and 2004.
Eversole, who's been a county commissioner for 20 years, has raised just $60 this year toward his defense. The elected official says he's not sure how he will pay for his next trial.
Attorney Rusty Hardin said Eversole's finances will have no effect on the case and he is staying with his client.
