All Borders bookstores to close by September

HOUSTON

The announcement came late Monday afternoon, after an auction in which the Borders Group recieved only two bids - both of them from liquidation groups. The group has asked a court to approve the liquidators bid and a hearing is set for Thursday.

In our area, liquidation sales at Borders bookstores could begin as early as Friday.
