Man accused of sexually assaulting two teen girls

HOUSTON

Jose Giovanni Portillo, 41, is charged with continuous sexual abuse of a child and sexual assault of a child under 17 years of ago.

In the first case, court documents state the female victim, then 13 years old, says Portillo sexually assaulted her from March 2010 until February 2011. She says he told her multiple times that he was "sorry and that he loved her."

According to court documents, in the second case the 16-year-old female victim says Portillo sexually assaulted her from August 2009 until April 2011. She says Portillo would tell her "she should thank him for doing this because it could be some other guy who doesn't love her like he does."

Bond has been set for Portillo at $70,000 total for both charges.
