According to the Harris County Sheriff's Office, a pickup truck hauling the horses was northbound on the North Freeway feeder road when a Dodge Durango pulled out from Remington Valley in front of the pickup.
The pickup sideswiped the Durango and swerved. The driver lost control and drove onto the curb, swinging the horse trailer around.
That's when the trailer detached and overturned, landing upside-down in the grass.
All three horses were OK. One received minor cuts, but HCSO officials said there was no need to put down any of the animals.
The drivers were not hurt.
