It was floating in a pond near some condominiums off Creekbend near Fluor Daniel in Sugar Land.
Investigators said Saturday that the victim had still not been identified.
An autopsy was ordered on the body.
Officials hope the results of the autopsy will shed some light on the circumstances surrounding the man's death.
