Woman fatally shot while on Dallas street

DALLAS, TX Lt. David Pughes says the two were in a vehicle Friday when they argued and she tried to flee by running down the street. Pughes says the fatal shooting happened near a bus stop and some passengers witnessed the attack.

Police say the man, whose own vehicle was left in gear and rolled away, carjacked another vehicle and drove home, barricading himself at the residence. One gunshot was heard from inside the home as officers arrived.

Police entered the residence and found the man dead.

Names of the man and woman were not immediately released. Police say the pair recently separated.
