According to officials with the Houston Police Department, the body was spotted Saturday, floating in Buffalo Bayou near Jensen at Clinton.
An autopsy will be performed to determine the person's identity and cause of death.
No additional details are available. The age and gender of the decedent are unknown.
HPD Homicide detectives are investigating, but it is unclear if police suspect foul play.
