Man, 62, charged in deadly bar fight

STAFFORD, TX The shooting happened just after 2am Monday at the Club 1092 bar on FM 1092 in Stafford. According to the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office, Victor Avila-Avila, 31, of Houston, was fatally shot during a bar fight. The incident began earlier that night when several patrons got into an argument inside the business and later escalated into a physical altercation outside in the parking lot.

Deputies say at some point during the altercation, the suspect fired a shot, striking Avila-Avila in the chest. Avila-Avila was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Guadalupe Castellano, 62, of Houston was arrested at the scene. He is currently incarcerated in the Fort Bend County Detention Facility facing charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He is beind held without bond.

Fort Bend detectives continue to investigate this incident.
