Ramp closed at Eastex Fwy and North Loop
HOUSTON
The ramp is closed due to debris in the road caused by the overturned tractor-trailer accident on the ramp
Motorists are encouraged to detour to the eastbound 610 North Loop, u-turn at Lockwood, then re-enter the 610 North Loop westbound back to the northbound 59 Eastex Fwy to continue north.
We're told by Houston Transtar that Metro Police Department has opened the Eastex Freeway HOV lanes to all passenger vehicles due to the wreck.
TxDOT says work crews have removed all materials that fell from an overturned 18 wheeler and that all 59 northbound mainlanes are now open. The 59 northbound ramp to the North Loop westbound will remain closed as crews clear the remaining spilled material and remove the overturned 18 wheeler.
