Two separate fires may be work of arsonist

HOUSTON Both fires are still under investigation, but firefighters say it's possible they were both deliberately set.

The first happened at a house on Inwood Park at West Little York. That fire started at around 10:30pm last night. Firefighters say they found several points of origin in different bedrooms, and that's just one sign that someone might have set the fire. It is still unclear if anyone lived there, but it appeared vacant. No one was found inside.

Then just about two hours later, a three-alarm fire started at the Inwood Oaks apartments across the street from that house fire. The complex is abandoned, and there was heavy fire coming from the second story. This is the third time the apartments have caught fire, leading firefighters to believe this could be the work of an arsonist.

No one was injured in either fire. Investigators say it is too early to say for sure this was arson.
