Three charged in deadly New Year's Eve robbery

HOUSTON Police arrested 31-year-old Edgar Ivan Padron on March 31 and Jose Adolpho Castillo, 30, the next day, according to a Houston Police Department statement. Mark Antonio Deleon, 32, was arrested after a SWAT standoff on Thursday. HPD investigators are currently following leads involving a possible fourth suspect.

The three men are accused of killing Saturnino Argueta on the evening of New Year's Eve during a convenience store heist in the 5600 block of Beechnut. Argueta, 57, was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Surveillance video showed the suspects arriving in a white two-toned Ford F-250 pickup truck with a front brush guard. The driver of the vehicle remained inside the truck while the three other suspects entered the convenience store.
