"He left them unattended for a while and when he returned, the tub was overflowing and one of the children was floating in the bathtub," said Sgt. Wayne Kuhlman with the Harris County Sherriff's Office.
The infant was transported by Life Flight to Memorial Hermann Hospital where she died. Family members tell Eyewitness News it has been very tough for the father, who is absolutely distraught.
Detectives say it will be up to a grand jury to decide if anyone should face charges in this case. So far, there is no one in custody.
