Funeral plans set for UH officer killed in wreck
HOUSTON
Visitation for Ann O'Donnell is set to begin at 9:30am at the Carnes Brothers Funeral Home, 1201 Tremont in Galveston. The funeral is scheduled to start at 11am at the Trinity Episcopal Church, 2216 Ball Ave.
O'Donnell died during the wee hours of Christmas Eve while responding to a call regarding an assault. She lost control of her police unit and crashed into a tree.
O'Donnell was pronounced dead en route to a hospital. She is the first UH police officer to die on the job.
In lieu of flowers, family members are requesting donations be made in O'Donnell's name to the 100 Club of Houston, 5555 San Felipe St.
