Former co-op general manager found guilty

FREDERICKSBURG, TX The punishment phase in the trial of Bennie Fuelberg was under way late Friday. He faces from two to 10 years in prison and a fine up to $10,000. The defense said it would ask for probation.

The charges stem from payments of hundreds of thousands of dollars in co-op money arranged through a law firm to Fuelberg's brother and the son of a longtime Pedernales board member.
