Suspect in deadly shooting during family gathering surrenders

FORT BEND COUNTY, TX Detectives say 25-year-old Durell Watt turned himself in to the Ft. Bend County Sheriff's Office on Monday. He's accused of shooting his brother-in-law in the neck after the two got into a fight at Watts' home in the 17000 block of Mercado Drive late last Tuesday. Watts then reportedly drove off in a red 1998 Lincoln Navigator.

The victim, Courtney Wilson, 21, died Wednesday from a gunshot wound to the neck.

Watts is charged with murder and held on a $25,000 bond.
