Hundreds line up for pies in NW Houston

HOUSTON The lines started forming Tuesday evening at the Flying Saucer Pie Company on Crosstimbers near Yale. This time every year folks come from miles around just to get some of those famous pies for their thanksgiving celebrations. Some folks even camped out all night.

"It doesn't feel like Thanksgiving if we don't come over here. We do it every year – it's a tradition," said pie lover Alma Martinez.

Flying Saucer expects to sell well over 27,000 pies this week. Fresh strawberry is the number one seller.
