Council approves amendment for historic preservation

HOUSTON The City Council Wednesday approved changes to the Historic Preservation Ordinance. They approved an amendment which increases the percentages required for a neighborhood seeking a historic designation. It's now a two-thirds majority of property owners.

Another rule sets a 30-day limit for property owners to reconsider a currently established historic designation.
