Big project to fix up Buffalo Bayou
HOUSTON
The Harris County Flood Control District plans to fix up a quarter-mile stretch of the bayou, from Sabine Street to Eleanor Tinsley Park.
Right now, that section of the bayou is overgrown. The flood control district plans to clean it out and add trees and shrubs. They say adding trees will help with erosion, and will eventually cut down on the lawn mowing bill.
The project is set to begin in mid-July.
