Penniless robber seeks prosperity at bank

HOUSTON At approximately 2pm, the robber approached the teller counter and presented a note indicating that he was committing a bank robbery. According to the FBI, as the teller gathered some cash, he stated "I'm broke" as his excuse for the criminal behavior. With cash in hand, he left the bank on foot in an unknown direction. No one was physically hurt during the robbery.

Witnesses describe the penniless fellow as a white male, 30-40 years old, 6'0" to 6'4" tall, 200-250 pounds, unshaven or possible trimmed beard and mustache. He was wearing a light colored "hoodie" sweatshirt and jeans, and wore a tan ball cap.
