Police search for driver behind deadly hit and run

HOUSTON It was around 8:20pm when investigators say Curtis Thorne, pictured above, was crossing the street in the 200 block of West Gulf Bank when a tan pickup truck travelling eastbound struck him, knocking him into the westbound lanes. Investigators say the pickup truck driver took off.

Thorne was transported to Ben Taub Hospital, where he died from his injuries.

Witnesses have described the truck as more than likely a tan Chevrolet Silverado pickup. It will have substantial front end damage. If anyone has any information on this crime or any information on the truck, they are urged to call Crime Stoppers.
