The 22-year-old mother of two babies whose bodies were found stuffed under a San Antonio house in 2007 has been sentenced to life in prison without parole. State District Judge Mary Roman sentenced Valerie Lopez in San Antonio on Friday.

The sentence was part of a plea deal after Lopez agreed to help prosecutors in the case of her ex-boyfriend, 31-year-old Jerry Salazar.

The couple shared the home where the bodies of 4-month-old Sebastian and 14-month-old Sariyah were found wrapped in plastic after they moved out.

Salazar reached a separate plea agreement in December and was received a life sentence.
