Police had earlier released incorrect information that the baby had died.

One-year-old boy injured by hit-and-run driver
HOUSTON
Police say at about 4:30pm Sunday, a one-year-old boy was found in the middle of the street in the 1200 block of Peach Spring Drive. The boy, who suffered a head wound, was taken by family members to Texas Children's Hospital where he was treated and released.. Further investigation determined the baby had been run over by an unknown vehicle, which then fled the scene.
