Nearly three dozen migratory game birds have been found shot and dumped near a lake at a no-hunting park in Grayson County. Game authorities are trying to determine who killed the wild ducks and geese and discarded the carcasses at Loy Lake Park. The animals were found piled along a brush line.

The 34 dead birds were discovered Tuesday at the lake north of Sherman. Game warden Dale Moses says the breasts of some of the birds had been removed.

Moses says violators could face illegal hunting charges, including waste of game.
