A pit bull dog has been impounded and an autopsy ordered into the death of a 2-year-old boy whose body was found in a Luling yard that housed the dog. Luling Police Chief John Cochran said the preliminary investigation showed that the child had bite marks that were consistent with being bitten by a dog. The San Antonio Express-News reported in its online edition Thursday that Cochran declined to identify the child, who he said was visiting the home where the dog is kept.

The boy's body was found in the back yard of the home shortly after noon.
