Missing baby found safe at fire station

Sonia Diane Quintanilla, 30, of the Needville area, left home around 9:30am Monday in order to take her six-week-old son, Elijah Ray Farris, to the doctor. Sonia has not returned home or been in contact with anyone since that morning.

On Thursday, around 6:30am the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office was notified on the recovery of Elijah. He was dropped off by an unknown male at the Houston Fire Department, Fire Station #34 on Laura Koppel.

Children Protective Services described the baby as being filthy with a soiled diaper but in fair condition.

Sonia Quintanilla is still reported as missing. She was traveling in a blue 1989 Chevrolet Caviler 4-door, with license plate Z84-CFV.

Detectives are asking anyone with information on the whereabouts of Sonia to contact the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office at 281-341-4665 or 281-341-4686.
