It happened on Highway 249 at Smiling Wood in northwest Harris County. The man was driving a pick-up when he veered into the center of an intersection. He hit a sedan head-on and was killed.
Emergency crews took the couple in the sedan to the hospital in serious condition. But they are both expected to live.
