It happened at the business on South Wayside and Canal. Firefighters believe workers used a torch to repair the convenience store roof yesterday and may have left some hotspots. That leftover heat was enough to start a fire late last night.
The flames were confined to the roof. The downtown Shell station may be closed today for repairs.
