Armed robber targets convenience store

FRIENDSWOOD, TX The Valero convenience store, 700 W. Parkwood, was the scene of a second robbery in five months early Wednesday morning. Police received a 911 call from the night clerk at approximately 1:26 a.m.

The clerk reported that the suspect was a black male who wore a black bandana over his face. The male was approximately 5'7" to 5'9" in height and wore a dark blue hoodie pullover. Though the clerk did not see the suspect's face, he told police that the suspect appeared to be a young man.

The suspect displayed a handgun and took an undetermined amount of money from the register. The clerk was unsure if the suspect left the scene on foot or in a car.

The store was the scene of a robbery in July. Several arrests have been made in that case.
