According to Karen Garrison with the Spring Independent School District, an unloaded gun was found in the backpack of a Ponderosa Elementary School student on Monday. School officials and ISD police are investigating.
No information about the student is available, but appropriate disciplinary action has been taken.
Parents of students at the school were informed of the situation by a letter sent home.
