Infant's death ruled a homicide

LEAGUE CITY, TX On Wednesday, October 27, authorities were called to a house on Folk Crest Lane in League City when a six-week-old infant stopped breathing. CPR was initiated, but the baby was pronounced dead at the scene.

Both parents were on scene and interviewed. They were identified as Jessica Maria Trevino and Jose Isaais Hererra, Sr., both 17 years old.

The infant was transported to the Galveston County Medical Examiner's Office where an autopsy was performed. The infant's death was later ruled a homicide by the Galveston County Medical Examiner.

This is an ongoing investigation.
