Despite split, Pink's in love with her ex

NEW YORK She tells People magazine she and Carey Hart talk all the time and he's her best friend. Why did they split up, then? She says, "What happened was between us, but it wasn't a nasty thing."

She wants children, even if they aren't her own, or as she puts it, "I rescue dogs. I feel like I would rescue kids that are already here."

She says, "I want to have 1,000 rescue animals and a big family, however that comes."
