Ex-cop gets new lawyer for retrial

A former Missouri City police officer who hired a hit man to kill his wife will have a court appointed attorney defend him at his new trial.A judge appointed counsel for Robert Fratta in his re-trial for capital murder. Fratta sits on death row for hiring Howard Guidry to kill his wife, Farah Fratta, in 1994. Fratta paid Guidry $1,000 for the murder.

Guidry was re-tried earlier this year, found guilty and sentenced to death.
