Tigers score on the opening kickoff, they kick it. Mavericks Nashton Davis fumbles the ball before they go into some sort of scrum. Trey Hatton gets tackled in the end zone by Joey Chapman. That puts the score 2-0 Katy.
The Tigers with 491 yards of total offense, 427 picked up on the ground, Michael Webber nice gain in to the Morton Ranch 10. Two plays later, Webber scores from eight yards out.
9-0 Katy Mavericks come back. Joe Mitchell only four of 11 for 52 yards. This pass to Jordan Washington is a nice gain that sets up Mitchell from the two. The quarterback keeper makes it 9-7 Tigers.
After a Katy field goal that made it 12-7, Morton Ranch driving 4th and three Mitchell hits Sean Barnum for the 1st down at the Tigers 16.
Michael Venson 58 yards rushing finishes the drive with a seven yard touchdown run. Mavericks up 14-12.
Michael Webber went out of the game because of injury the Tigers handed it off to sophomore Vernon Jeffries. Jeffries picked up right where Webber left off.
Twenty-seven carries 178 yards and two touchdowns.
Katy converts the two point conversion for a 21-14 lead at the break. Tigers go on to win 44-14. That's 4 wins in a row.
