How do you like sound of free?

HOUSTON But what if we told you there are ways to get items and services for free?

The only thing better than stretching your dollar is not having to spend it at all! We team up with our very own Super Saver single mother of three, Erin Libranda who tells us there are lots of freebies out there. You just have to know where to look.

Nothing makes the Super Saver happier than scoring a free deal!

"Well with Target right now the grapes are on sale, in-store special for a dollar a pound, and if you go to the Target Web site, there's a dollar printable," she informed us. "So, a dollar off a pound, a dollar a pound is what they cost, it's free."

By printing three coupons from the Target website, you can get three pounds of grapes for free. The deal lasts until Saturday.

Another one of Erin's favorite freebies can be found at fast food restaurants.

"For instance, Chik-Fil-A, they do a free giveaway of meals, get on their mailing list, they'll email you ahead of time," she said.

Just sign-up online and the company will send you free coupons or email you with dates and times when they're offering free food.

Erin says there are easy tricks to finding all kinds of freebies. The Internet is her favorite tool. She even got free business cards.

"Vista print is an online company and they will print business cards 250 for free, now you do have pay shipping which is minimal usually $3 to 5," Libranda said.

What about some free entertainment? We found some free DVD rentals. You know those Red Box kiosks around town? On Monday nights, you can get free DVD rentals by signing up at Redbox.com.

"Every Monday, if you sign up on their site, they will text you a code for a free rental on Mondays," she said.

And if you're looking for a great free family outing, mark your calendar. On October 13, Columbus Day, it's free to get in the Houston Zoo.

"We try to make it accessible as possible and make the Houston Zoo for everybody," said David Brady of the Houston Zoo.

By the way, there are five free days at the Houston Zoo throughout the year. Most times it's on or around a holiday.

We also want to remind you, that Super Saver Erin Libranda is a regular contributor on our Web site. She has a new savings tip every day and on Friday's, a special Free Stuff Friday. So be sure to check it out.
