HOUSTON
Harris County sheriff's deputies answered a suicide call at a home on Lucinda Meadows near Cannon in west Harris County late Saturday night. They found Joseph Gonzales dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. His wife, Angelita, was stabbed once in the chest.
"The female was subsequently taken to a local hospital, where's she's currently being treated for that stab wound," said Greg Pinkins with the Harris County Sheriff's Office. "She is expected to live."
The children didn't witness the attack and were not hurt. Investigators believe the couple got in an argument before the stabbing.
